STICKY HONEY, SOY AND MINT SAUSAGES

This is a very quick way to jazz up your sausages- I tend to buy the Tesco Healthy Living Cumberland sausages which are 1 syn each, but most of the supermarkets do their own version of low fat sausages. My husband introduced me to the concept of sausages and salad many years ago, and it’s such a good combination- especially if the sausages have this lovely glaze on them.

Description

This simple glaze turns sausages into the star of the dish! 

Syns: 1 per person (honey) plus syns for the brand of sausages you use


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sace
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves (finely chopped)
  • 6 reduced fat sausages

Instructions

  1. Mix together the honey, soy and mint in a small bowl
  2. Place the sausages on a small non-stick baking tray, and spoon the glaze over them
  3. Bake at 180c for 25 minutes, turning a couple of times during cooking to cover them as much as possible with the glaze
  4. Perfect served with a salad and potato or sweet potato wedges
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
