Description

Beat those cravings for cakes or doughnuts by making these super simple and yummy slimmer’s doughnuts, using your Healthy extra b allowance

Syns: 3 per doughnut

Healthy extra: B

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices wholemeal bread from a 400g loaf
  • 1 tbsp chocolate spread
  • 20 mini marshmallows
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • Low calorie cooking spray
  • 1 tbsp sweetener
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cut the crusts away from the slices of bread, and roll flat with a rolling pin
  2. Spread each slice with 1/2 tbsp chocolate spread
  3. Dot 10 mini marshmallows over each slice of bread
  4. Roll the bread up into a sausage shape
  5. Dip each rolled up slice into the egg to thoroughly coat
  6. Fry until browned all over in low-calorie cooking spray, being careful not to burn the outside (about 7 minutes)
  7. Sprinkle the sweetener and cinnamon over a plate
  8. Roll the cooked doughnuts in the sweetener/cinnamon mixture until thoroughly coated
  9. Eat while warm and gooey

Notes

I have given the amounts to cover 2 slices of bread (your whole HEB allowance) so 1/2 the ingredients if you are just going to use 1. One tablespoon of average chocolate spread is 4 syns (Waitrose do a beautiful chocolate spread called ‘Seriously chocolatey chocolate spread’ which is a little lower syn at 3 syns per tablespoon- totally recommend this if you can get hold of it, as not only does it save on syns, it is also completely delicious! 10 mini marshmallows are 1 syn. If you aren’t a fan of cinnamon then skip that but, and if you don’t mind adding a couple of extra syns, use real sugar for rolling the doughnuts in. Enjoy!
