Nando’s style peri-peri spice mix

A delicious peri-peri Nando’s style spice mix is so easy to make!

I absolutely love per-peri chicken, and I make up my Nando’s style spice mix in batches so that after I’ve done it once, I have it on the shelf for quick and easy meals in the future. I save empty jam jars and use those to store my spice mixes!

If you are following Slimming World you will find that most of the packet mixes contain unnecessary syns! It is much more cost-effective and a healthier option to make your own.

My Recipe

Serves: Makes 16 portions of Nando's style peri-peri chicken

Healthy Extra:


  • 4 tsp onion granules
  • 4 tsp garlic powder/granules
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tsp granulated sweetener
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 4 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 4 tsp crushed dried birds eye chillies
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp cumin


  1. Mix it all together! This amount will do 4 meals for 4 people, or 8 meals for 2 people!

Additional Info

This blend is spicy! If you prefer it less spicy then reduce the amount of birds' eye chilli and cayenne pepper in the mix. You can find my Nando's style chicken recipe and method here:
