A super-easy slow-cooker dish perfect for chilly autumn evenings and packed with goodnessÂ

Ingredients

- 750 g approx unsmoked gammon joint, fat trimmed away
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 3 tins cannellini beans (drained and rinsed)
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp dark muscovado sugar
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 red onion (finely diced)
- 1 leek (trimmed and sliced)
- 100 ml water
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Put all of the ingredients into the slow cooker (apart from the ham), and stir.
- Add the ham (make sure fat is trimmed away), immerse in the sauce.
- Cook on high for 6 hours, or low for 8-10 hours
Notes
If you want to add more veg to this there’s loads of possibilities- mushrooms, peppers, celery….
