⭐️ My favourite Devon spots - 4. Heron Valley ⭐️

I’ve lived in Devon for a large part of my life, so I thought it was time I shared some of my favourite places for anyone who might be heading down here on holiday or a local looking for new places to visit!

Heron Valley, in an area of Oustanding Natural Beauty in Loddiswell, is my top coffee spot on a sunny day in the South Hams. The courtyard garden is just beautiful, surrounded by peaceful countryside and full of flowers, herbs and plenty of seating (I don’t want to have to fight for a good spot to sit down!). You can sit here in complete silence- no traffic noise, just birdsong and the occasional baaaa from a sheep!

The coffee and cake is top notch (provided by @thecuratortotnes - you might actually recognise the same lemon meringue pie that I got previously in Nkuku!)- there’s also the range of @heron_valley_drinks juices and cider 🍎🍏. You can wander through the orchard if you like, and it’s also dog friendly.

The @weaver.green shop inside is lovely for a browse- I adore their blankets!

Let me know if you’ve ever been or if you plan to check it out!

⭐️ My favourite Devon spots - 3. Nkuku ⭐️

I’ve lived in Devon for a large part of my life, so I thought it was time I shared some of my favourite places for anyone who might be heading down here on holiday!

Nkuku, just outside Totnes, is one of my favourite coffee spots in the South Hams. On a sunny day, the beautiful enclosed courtyard is the perfect place to sit with a coffee and something sweet.

The coffee is excellent, and on this visit my husband and I shared a slice of lemon meringue pie which was an easy 10 out of 10. They also serve brunch and lunch, both of which looked delicious.

Before you leave, make sure you have a wander around the shop, which is full of beautifully styled aspirational homeware and furniture. Definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring the South Hams.

I visited Farm Foods for the first time today- @feastgloriousfeast gave me the heads up about an amazing bargain on butter and I’ve been curious to visit for a long time after seeing lots of posts about what great value it is.

I thought the frozen fish, fruit, dumplings and gyoza were amazing value, as well as cheese and butter- significantly cheaper than the main supermarkets (including Lidl and Aldi) where 250g butter is £2- here it worked out at £1.24 per 250g (the packet is 99p for 200g).

Why am I so obsessed with the price of butter? I guess for me it’s been one of the markets of rising food costs as it’s a staple in my weekly basket, and we get through a lot as we bake our own bread, cakes and biscuits. So picking it up here would be worth the saving for me as long as I was passing and not making special trip.

What are your @farmfoodsukofficial favourites? What did I miss?
