Description

This easy homemade pumpkin spice mix recipe is the perfect autumn blend for lattes, bakes, soups, and more

Ingredients

Scale

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1.5 tablespoons ground ginger

2 teaspoons allspice

2 teaspoons nutmeg

1/2 teaspoons ground cloves

Instructions

Simply add the spices into a clean, dry jar, put the lid on and give it a shake.

This spice mix has a strong flavour so when you are adding it to your cooking, make sure you start with a small amount and work up to find the right flavour strength for you. In drinks such as hot chocolate and coffee you only need to use a small pinch. When I’m using this to coat sweet potatoes or butternut squash for roasting I usually use about 1 teaspoon. Again in cookie dough, or cake batter, start with a small amount and check the taste to make sure you don’t add too much!
