3 ingredient slow cooker balsamic chicken

If you have a slow-cooker and only 5 minutes free to prepare dinner, this is the one for you! 

I have to say, if I didn’t know what had gone into this I would have thought someone had spent a lot of time and effort on it! It really is the easiest meal to make and tastes really good!

If you are following Slimming World, salsas do vary in syns, on average they are 0.5 syns per tbsp, but some are more so do check.


My Recipe

Serves: 4
Syns: 1 per person
Healthy Extra: none


  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 jar 300g jar salsa
  • 100ml balsamic vinegar


  1. Pop the chicken breasts into the slow cooker, and cover with the salsa and balsamic vinegar
  2. Give a little stir to coat
  3. Cook on low for 4 hours

      yes I used a hot salsa- I still added extra chillies at the end, it didn’t come out tasting very hot to me!

      I used an Aldi one- syns at the beginning of the recipe 🙂

    Do you cook the chicken before putting it in the slower cooker or put it in raw?
