Jerk chicken sandwich with chips

Like eating junk food but without any junk!

This is one of my favourite lazy dinners, usually if I am at home on my own and don’t feel like cooking. It feels like a treat but doesn’t take much effort at all (especially if you have some leftover Slimming World chips that you can just reheat!)

One of the secrets here is the Franks red hot buffalo sauce, it’s great if you love HOT food, and only has 1 syn per 3 tablespoons!


My Recipe

Serves: 1
Syns: 5 (if not using HEB)
Healthy Extra: B


  • 1 chicken breast
  • Jerk chicken seasoning
  • handful rocket
  • wholemeal sandwich thin (this could be used as HEB depending on brand)
  • Slimming World chips
  • Frylight


  1. Cut the chicken breast into 4 pieces and coat with jerk seasoning
  2. Fry the chicken in Frylight for 10-15 minutes until cooked through
  3. Lightly toast the sandwich thin
  4. Put the rocket on the bottom half of the sandwich thin, put the chicken on top, and drizzle with Franks Sauce (to taste).
  5. Place the top layer of bread on, press down lightly and cut in half
  6. Serve with Slimming World chips and some cherry tomatoes
