Slow-cooker honey garlic chicken

It just takes 5 minutes to put together the sauce for this easy and delicious honey garlic chicken, a simple combination of ingredients, slow-cooked with chicken breasts which are shredded into sauce at the end of cooking. Perfect served with egg-fried rice, stir-fried vegetables and smothered in spicy sriracha.   I've always loved the slow-cooker- it's an easy way to make great tasting food without having to put in a whole lot of effort! A slow-cooker is also a really cheap ...

Slow-cooker chipotle chilli chicken

I threw this meal together as I hadn't got anything planned and only had about 10 minutes in the day to get something prepared- I had a load of chicken in the freezer after receiving my latest Musclefood offer (click here to see the brilliant deal they currently have on my favourite lean meat selection), I always have black beans in the cupboard as I use them all the time, and the rest of the ingredients were just in the cupboards. I picked up my chipotle chilli flakes in Sainsburys a ...

Creamy mushroom and bacon linguine

This is a very quick and easy meal to make, but it tastes so good! If you need an easy weeknight supper this is perfect- just a few basic ingredients leaves you with an indulgent tasting pasta dish.

Gnocchi with bacon, pesto and green beans

This meal is great for one of those nights when you pop into the supermarket desperately wanting a quick dinner without having something unhealthy! It's just a few items which you can quickly grab, and it takes under 10 minutes to cook! (Gnocchi will be with the fresh pasta, usually around the ready meals!) I used the Tesco gnocchi which is 2 syns per 100g, and Tesco pesto which is 2.5 syns per tbsp.

Creamy mushroom and bacon spaghetti with chilli griddled greens

This is a lovely easy meal, and made with stuff that you are likely to already have in the cupboards! Not too many ingredients but very tasty. In the past I would have thrown in a glass of white wine, but it is still lovely without!

Pesto, green bean and bacon rigatoni

It's easy to make your own pesto if you wish (recipe here https://www.theslimmingfoodie.com/homemade-pesto/) but shop bought pesto tends to be relatively low syn if you don't have the time. This is a great quick throw-together dish, but tastes lovely.

Amazing 5-ingredient slow-cooker salsa chicken

This recipe uses shop bought salsa to make a really delicious slow-cooked shredded chicken and black-bean Mexican style dish. I had little faith that putting 5 ingredients into the slow cooker would make something that I'd want to do again, but thought I'd give it a try and it was worth the experiment. Just stick in the slow-cooker in the morning and come home to a completely yummy dinner! I've based the syn values in this dish on the salsa I used, which was the Dorito's hot salsa- but ...

Best ever pizza sauce

This pizza sauce is so yummy that I can just eat it on its own! I make a double batch to keep in a jar in the fridge and it's one of those really handy go-to things when you are stuck for ideas! I use it on top of a Kingsmill wholemeal thin (healthy extra b) topped with cheese for a lunchtime pizza, on top of the Warburton's easy-roll square wraps (8 syns) for a Saturday night treat pizza, inside the Old El Paso Stand 'n' Stuff Tortilla with loads more veg and cheese for a pizza pie, with ...

Chicken kiev

If you use the Dairylea triangles in this recipe as part of your Healthy Extra A then these tasty kievs are only 2.5 syns. Rice Krispies provide a super-quick and easy crispy coating.
