Pesto, green bean and bacon rigatoni

It's easy to make your own pesto if you wish (recipe here https://www.theslimmingfoodie.com/homemade-pesto/) but shop bought pesto tends to be relatively low syn if you don't have the time. This is a great quick throw-together dish, but tastes lovely.  

Hearty lentil and bacon soup

Lentils and bacon are just one of those combinations that work so well, and this soup has lots of lovely speed veg squeezed into it. I always make a big batch as it freezes really well and is perfect for a quick, filling lunch if you are stuck. I've also found that this is really popular with my children which makes it even more of a winner and I haven't yet found any other ways to get lovely healthy lentils down them! Butternut squash soup and cheesy tabasco toast

I love butternut squash soup as its so easy to make and always tastes delicious. As butternut squash keep so well, it's also one of those things really quick and easy to whip up when you haven't planned your meals- I always have one in reserve for a last minute lunch or dinner! The soup's lovely on it's own, but the cheesy tabasco toast goes so well with it that I often use my Healthy extra A & B for the day with it!
